Hosting Your Virtual Group on Zoom

During this time of "Physical Distancing,"" we as the body of Christ want to continue to stay “Connected.” In light of this we have the following instructions that will help us stay in contact with each other and our groups. The two sets of instructions, Zoom and Big Blue Button, provide free video/phone conferencing capabilities. Each section below has instructions for installing, configuring and using the tools. If you have any questions or need assistance after reviewing the material an tutorial videos, please contact us and we will assist.

We recommended that each group leader setup their own account in Zoom. The basic plan can be used for free.

If you use Microsoft Outlook, you can use the Zoom add-in for scheduling, or you can log into your Zoom account and copy/paste the meeting link once you’ve scheduled it. There is a 40 minute limit per meeting with Basic so I'd recommend scheduling with your group two back to back meetings sequentially, one after the other so that when the first one ends at 40 minutes your group can quickly join the second one.
